Dear customers,

Nunavut Sealink and Supply Inc., Taqramut Transport Inc. and Desgagnés Transarctik Inc. would like to wish you all the best for this Sealift season.

Given the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, strict procedures will be implemented for the 2020 season to ensure everyones health and safety. Sealift services are an essential service and, as such, we adapted our logistics to meet the standards set out by local and public health authorities.

We are asking that you collaborate and please read the following information:

Space reservation:

We are currently taking reservations for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sailings. Please book as early as possible. You can plan and book your cargo space online at www.articsealift.com , for northbound, lateral or backhaul shipments.

Ship schedule

Ship schedules are updated daily on our website. Please check the schedules to plan your deliveries to the terminal and estimate when your cargo will arrive at its destination.

Communications

News and updates will be posted on our website and Facebook. Check regularly and follow us to get daily updates. Our customer service team is also available to answer any questions and to help you plan your shipment.

SAINTE-CATHERINE TERMINAL

Here is some key information for delivering cargo to the terminal:

  • Our terminal is located at 6565 Hébert Blvd, Ste-Catherine (Québec) J5C 1B5;
  • The terminals business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm;
  • You must make an appointment to deliver your cargo at least 48 hours ahead of time;
  • Call us at (450) 635-7700 to make an appointment. You will be asked to provide your space reservation confirmation number. You will be given a different appointment number for each of your deliveries;
  • Measures have been implemented at the terminal to protect everyones health and safety. Please follow the instructions posted when on the premises.

 

Lateral or backhaul shipments

Cargo space must be reserved ahead of time, and the cargo must be ready to be loaded when the ship arrives at the community. We will be limiting travel to and from the villages as much as possible.

Cargo unloading and receiving in northern communities

In agreement with the Nunavut and Nunavik authorities, special measures and procedures have been implemented for unloading cargo in the communities to protect everyones health and safety.

  • Our crew and stevedores will have taken numerous precautionary measures prior to boarding. The health of our crew and stevedores will be assessed and logged daily.
  • Equipment will be cleaned, and crew will bring their own sanitary units, waste containers and food to be fully autonomous and avoid any travel to and from the communities.
  • Posters with clear instructions in all three languages will be posted on the beaches. Stevedores will have the necessary personal protective equipment.

 

Customers will have to go to the beach and follow instructions to collect their cargo.

  • All measures are being taken to protect the communities and our crew, so that we can keep serving the communities, as Sealift services are essential.
  • Physical distancing rules will apply at all times.
  • The hygiene measures set out by health authorities are of utmost importance.
  • For the office, we will use a container with a piece of plexiglass separating the customer from the cargo checker.
  • Customers will be asked to sign cargo manifests and other documents at the checkers container office at the beach in a contact-free manner. They will have to use their own pen to sign manifest.
  • Lateral and backhaul cargo will undergo sanitizing procedures for all vehicles and machinery.  No travel will be allowed within the beach and unloading perimeter.
