Taqramut Transport Inc. (TTI) is the offspring of a business relation between Desgagnés Transarctik Inc. and La Fédération des Coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ). www.fcnq.ca

For the past forty years, both organizations have shared friendship, mutual respect and a partnership like relation from which this maritime company was born; it will ensure and initiate the marketing and any related services in maritime transportation in Nunavik. Together, these two well known companies in Nunavik, decided to join their forces and create this partnership, which aims at offering a personalized and enhanced service to their clients in Nunavik. Each of the fourteen co-operatives in Nunavik is considered as an active partner in this endeavour.

Since the beginning, the best efforts were deployed to make sure the local co-op stores would be involved in providing pertinent sealift information to users in the communities; they can assist them with cargo bookings, follow-ups and any other sealift related information. Henceforth, TTI commits to ensure support to all the co-ops allowing them to contribute actively, not only from the marketing aspect, but also in the company development, which also enables them to increase and diversify their field of activities in local as well as regional level. For many years, Desgagnés Transarctik has been a specialized sealift carrier in the remote Arctic regions. Its goal is to guarantee a reliable, economic and efficient service to all its clients in Nunavik.
